Sam Bobek, DMD, MD 
Dr. Sam Bobek has focused his OMFS practice on orthognathic and TMJ surgery since completing the Carolinas (CCOFS) fellowship in 2012. He earned his dental and medical degrees as well as his OMFS certificate at Oregon Health and Science University. After working at Head and Neck Surgical Associates in Portland, he founded Seattle Jaw Surgery in 2014, where he developed a unique practice model featuring in-house surgical planning and outpatient orthognathic surgery. He has performed more than 2,000 osteotomies and virtually planned over 1,500 cases. Dr. Bobek also co-hosts a weekly jaw surgery podcast with Dr. Michael Wasson. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lesley, and their four children.

Elda Fisher, MD, DMD, FACS 
Dr. Elda Fisher is an associate professor of surgery in the Division of Plastic, Maxillofacial, and Oral Surgery at Duke University. She specializes in facial aesthetic and gender affirmation surgery and is board certified through both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Fisher is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and lectures nationally and internationally. Dedicated to surgical education, she teaches hands-on courses in cosmetic and trauma surgery and serves as adjunct faculty at the University of North Carolina. She is a recognized leader in facial gender affirmation, including feminization, masculinization, and orthognathic surgery.
Ashish Patel, DDS, MD, FACS 
Dr. Ashish Patel’s practice includes oral surgery, surgical oncology, facial reconstruction, trauma surgery, sleep apnea surgery, and corrective jaw surgery. A fellowship-trained Head and Neck Surgical Oncologist and Reconstructive Surgeon, he is dedicated to treating patients with head and neck cancers. In 2016, he performed the first total jaw reconstruction on the West Coast and continues to advance surgical science through precision medicine, robotic surgery, and minimally invasive, patient-specific approaches. As medical director of the Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery, he trains future leaders in the field and holds academic appointments at Oregon Health and Science University and Washington State University School of Medicine.
Waldemar D. Polido, DDS, MS, PhD
Dr. Waldemar D. Polido is a clinical professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery and co-director of the Center for Implant, Esthetic and Innovative Dentistry at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He holds a PhD and MS from PUCRS School of Dentistry in Brazil and completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. A member of numerous international associations, Dr. Polido’s primary interests include complex implant surgeries, orthognathic surgery, and digital technology. He also contributes extensively as an author and reviewer for leading journals in oral and maxillofacial surgery and implant dentistry.
Jeffrey Posnick, DMD, MD 
Dr. Jeffrey Posnick is a pioneering physician trained in both oral and maxillofacial and plastic surgery. His groundbreaking work in pediatric cranio-maxillofacial surgery has shaped the field. He currently serves as Professor Emeritus of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Pediatrics at Georgetown University, Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Maryland, Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University, and Adjunct Professor of Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His advancements in surgical techniques have transformed outcomes for countless children and young adults.
Michael Wasson, DDS 
Dr. Michael Wasson is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with expertise in orthognathic, TMJ, and sleep apnea surgery. He is among a select group of surgeons in the Southwest performing orthognathic surgery with Invisalign, TMJ total joint replacement, TMJ arthroscopy, and mandibular contouring (“V-line”) surgery. Dr. Wasson performs the most custom TMJ total joint replacement surgeries in the region and maintains a full-scope TMJ and jaw surgery practice emphasizing individualized care.
