The Westin Riverfront Resort

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is located in the heart of Vail Valley, known for world-class skiing, shopping, dining, and other mountain activities. The resort offers direct access to skiing via the Riverfront Express Gondola and stunning views of Beaver Creek. Enjoy comfort and luxury with a 27,000-square-foot spa and athletic club featuring state-the-art facilities and heated outdoor pool.

Getting to Vail Valley

Two airports provide access to Vail, Beaver Creek ,and the Vail Valley. At just 30-40 minutes away from the Westin, Eagle/Vail (EGE) is the closest gateway, offering service from American, Delta, and United Airlines. While more convenient, Eagle/Vail is an intermountain airport that is more frequently impacted by snowfall. Airfare tends to be more expensive.

Denver International Airport (DEN) offers a more robust listing of nonstop service from the East Coast, with better ability to accommodate aircraft in poor weather conditions. While flights are typically more affordable thanks to available discount carriers such as Southwest and Frontier, it’s a longer drive to the resort: a shuttle ride of approximately 2.5 hours.

In instances where nonstop flights can be obtained, it’s generally preferable to fly into Eagle/Vail. If a connecting flight into Eagle is being compared to a nonstop flight into Denver, consider the pros and cons of each airport and contact Encompasse if you have additional questions.

Trip insurance is strongly recommended for winter travel to ski resorts. There’s an increased risk of delay or cancellation and travel costs are often non-refundable. For additional details, contact Encompasse Tours.

Starting for as little as 7% of your package price, enjoy peace of mind by protecting against:

  • Bad Weather - You're flying into the Rocky Mountains on the snowiest month of the calendar year.
  • Trip Interruption - Coverage for delays of baggage or lost nights due to airline cancellations weather, and more.
  • Pre-Trip Cancellation – Winter means flu season. Insurance covers you and immediate family members against illnesses that arise during your coverage period.
  • Emergency Assistance - Skiing is an active sport. If you need to change your itinerary due to any kind of injury, you’re protected against many additional expenses including airline ticket changes.
