Course Overview

This course is designed to offer a wide-ranging didactic and hands-on review of contemporary facial cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures. Instructive for the novice cosmetic surgeon to the advanced, this two-day course begins with a day of lectures by a faculty of experts in facial cosmetic surgery. The second day features a hands-on cadaver lab, which allows for practice of some of the key concepts covered during the course. Lecture-only registration is available.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, attendees will be able to:

  • Review the general theories of facial attractiveness and assess a patient based on facial proportions

  • Explain the use of injectable filler materials 

  • Describe the use of the various lasers and nonsurgical therapies for rejuvenating the skin

  • Describe techniques and indications for upper/lower blepharoplasty and browlifting

  • Discuss techniques and indications for facial augmentation with implants

  • Describe techniques and indications for otoplasty, facial liposuction, rhytidectomy, and cosmetic rhinoplasty

  • Demonstrate and apply hands-on facial cosmetic procedures
