Dear Member,

Personally and on behalf of the Board of Regents, I thank you for your continued membership in what has been a challenging year for all of us. Please take a few moments to renew your ACOMS membership for 2021.

As we approach the beginning of the 2021 ACOMS membership year on September 1, our Board and Committees have been hard at work developing a wide-ranging portfolio of educational offerings that will bring significant new value to your membership.

This fall, we are debuting a curriculum of brand new online education, with over 50 hours of new on-demand CDE and CME education included with your membership at no additional charge. Topics will include anesthesia, business and ethics, head and neck oncology, implants, TMJ, and reconstruction. You will be able to earn all of your required anesthesia CE at your convenience from the comfort of your home!

ACOMS plans to hold two in-person meetings in 2021:

  • The ACOMS & FACES Annual Winter Meeting, February 7-12, Squaw Valley, CA
  • The ACOMS 42nd Annual Meeting, April 24-26, Bellagio Las Vegas, NV

Your health and safety are our top concern. We will work with the venues and our partners to ensure that appropriate precautions are taken to protect your safety. We will be frequently re-assessing these programs over the coming months and will adapt to the changing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, we increased ACOMS membership dues to $745. The value of ACOMS membership has grown immensely since our last dues increase, 12 years ago. This modest increase will help ensure the long-term financial health of the College. With your membership, you will continue to receive a subscription to OOOO journal and we are confident that the expanded educational programs summarized above will exceed the value of your dues. As a reminder, ACOMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and 100% of your dues is tax-deductible as charitable contributions.

We understand that some of you are experiencing financial uncertainty this year. If this is the case for you, please do not hesitate to contact us so that we may discuss an alternative payment option.

New for 2021: members may voluntarily enroll for automatic renewal. If you enroll in this program you will receive a 10% discount on this year’s dues, and your credit card will be automatically billed at the end of August next year.

We are fortunate to have a community of loyal, talented, dedicated members like you. We sincerely appreciate you and we do not take your membership for granted. The education we offer is second-to-none and I hope you will renew your membership with ACOMS for another year. Above all else, I hope that you and your loved ones remain safe, healthy, and prosperous. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Sincerely,

Kevin L. Rieck, DDS, MD, FACS
ACOMS President
