Member Types

Select the appropriate member type for your application below.

After you click the orange Continue button, you will be prompted to create a username and password. Then you will be able to review and select your appropriate membership dues, before completing the application.

  • Fellow: OMS who are certified by the ABOMS. Individuals must be licensed in medicine or dentistry in the jurisdiction where practicing.

  • Associate Member: OMS who have completed residency in the US or Canada, but have not been certified by the ABOMS.

    • Applicants who have completed OMS residency within the last three years may select the First, Second, or Third Year member types according to how many years they have been out of residency, and receive complimentary or discounted membership. Proof of residency completion year required.

  • International Affiliate: OMS who are not licensed in the U.S. or Canada but practice OMS internationally.
  • Resident Member: Individuals enrolled at accredited OMS training programs in the U.S. or Canada during residency or post-residency fellowship.

  • Dental Student Member: Individuals who are enrolled at accredited dental schools in the U.S. or Canada or who are enrolled in certain post-doctoral training, including OMS internships.

  • Guest: Non-members may select the "guest" option to create a website profile, in order to register for online educational activities in the ACOMS Learning Center. Guests are also added to the ACOMS mailing list.


Membership Dues and Fees:

Standard dues are for the period from September 1 through August 31. Dues are pro-rated mid-year. Click the Continue below to proceed with the application and review full dues details.

ACOMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Dues are tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
