The American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Donor Advised Fund supports education and research to advance the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. The fund is administered by the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation is dedicated to advancing the long- term development, health and well-being of the OMS specialty and the public it serves through financial support of research and education consistent with the goals of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
As the only national foundation which supports the oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty, the OMS Foundation has funded more than $11 million in research awards, fellowships and specialty-focused projects. OMS Foundation-supportedresearch awards and fellowships are shaping the future of the OMS specialty. Research and education are critical to making advances in the specialty. The OMS Foundation's yearly funding of research awards and fellowships allow the specialty to develop new areas of scientific study which will affect the treatment of patients now and for years into the future.
The ability for the OMS Foundation to fund research and education depends largely on the generosity of donors. Donors make an investment in the future of the specialty with support to the OMS Foundation through membership, the REAP Annual Fund, and planned gifts.
