Our mission is to enhance surgical excellence through education of the oral and maxillofacial surgical specialty. We fulfill this mission by hosting meetings and courses throughout the year and are developing web-based learning opportunities to supplement our members' education needs.

The ACOMS Annual Scientific Conference and Exhibition is a three-day didactic learning opportunity featuring world-renowned speakers on a wide range of topics from implantology and orthognatic surgery to cutting edge technology and topics in facial cosmetic surgery. Highlights of our annual meeting include the awarding of the W. Harry Archer Award and presentation of the Kurt H. Thoma Memorial Lecture by an outstanding contributor to OMS excellence.

The ACOMS Hands-on Surgical Education Series features one and two-day courses intended to give attendees a mix of classroom and hands-on experience in focused topic areas like facial cosmetic surgery, implants, and TMJ total joint and scope.

The ACOMS Residents Meeting is an opportunity for OMS residents to present abstracts and case studies, meet fellow residents from other programs, and observe lectures in surgical and practices enhancement topics.

This year ACOMS is proud to present a Recertification "Boot Camp" Course, which is the first recertification course to focus exclusively on preparing experienced OMS for their decennial recertification examination.
